Life Membership is an honour that may be bestowed on an individual member in recognition of distinguished service to the Association, upon retirement from the practice of school business administration. Life memberships are not automatic upon the completion of a members career.
Each nomination must provide detailed information regarding the individuals activities and contributions to the Association and the profession, and be supported by 2 or more ASBOA members.
In addition the individual must meet the criteria as outlined in the Association Bylaws and School Business Officials Regulations (37/2004)
- the individual must have been actively involved in the practice of school business administration for at least 10 years
- the individual has rendered distinguished service to the Association
- the individual is retired or has resigned from the practice of school business administration
An individual is eligible for nomination in the current year if their retirement/resignation date falls within the current membership year.
Award recipients will be notified prior to the conference and invited to attend the annual banquet for presentation and recognition.
