This Education Law session will focus on Contract Law in an education setting. Participants do not need to have completed the previously offered 'Introductory to Education Law' to register.
Topics covered: · The essentials: offer, acceptance, consideration, performance, breach and other aspects · Intentional Torts (assault, battery, false imprisonment, intentional infliction of mental suffering, intentional interference with business relations, defamation (liable and slander)
This program will be of interest and value to individuals who deal with, among other things, contracts in Alberta’s education system. We encourage ASBOA members to register for the course with others from your system who may also benefit from this program.
Successful completion of the Education Law 2 program may be used for continuing education requirements for Certified School Business Officials and may also be used by members working towards their CSBO designation.
Total instruction time is 12 hours + research and presentation preparation.
