Foothills School Division is looking for a visionary 21st century leader to join its facility services team as the new Director of Facility Services, reporting to the Secretary Treasurer, within the Corporate Services Department.
The School Division operates a budget in excess of $89,000,000 and serves approximately 8000 students and 21 schools.
As a positive, energetic and ethical leader, the successful candidate’s facility management practices will have consistently demonstrated:
• the ability to responsibly oversee and implement all aspects of facility management and reporting from budgeting through to completion of projects.
• well-developed communication and leadership skills along with strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making abilities with a client-service, results-focused approach
• proficiency in working within a team environment, including operating systems that are open and transparent to stakeholders
• strong ability to work with multiple stakeholders and foster the development of a collaborative team environment to achieve exceptional results
• the ability to maximize the effectiveness of software, along with comprehensive knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of products.
A minimum of 10 years’ experience in building trades management and project management is required as well as Journeyman Certification in an Alberta building trade or building related engineering diploma. Individuals who apply must hold or be eligible to attain Certified Educational Facility Management (CEFM) designation.
