  • In the face of large-scale change, school divisions are re-examining how they will achieve their strategic and operational goals to support student success. During these times, financial leaders serve as the most crucial resources to their school division, the Board of Trustees, staff, and the public.   So how do you help bridge strategic and operational ambitions in the face of fiscal realities?    How do you help manage stakeholder emotion while being transparent about the severity of the situation?  This session will delve into the unique position of K-12 financial leaders and the opportunities and challenges in supporting both strategy and operations, in the face of fiscal change and uncertainty.  Techniques around stakeholder engagement during times of change will also be covered, as well as communication methods to manage stakeholder emotion.  Financial leaders will come away with tools and techniques based on the IAP2 methodology and a renewed appreciation of how strategic objective can still be achieved considering the current climate.
