Are you relatively new to School Business or working towards earning your Certified School Business Official (CSBO) designation? The Introduction to Education Law course will provide individuals with a basic overview of Negligence, Administrative Procedural Fairness, examples of Criminal Law, and the rudiments of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms within the Canadian educational context. The course is offered using a combination of face 2 face sessions as well as using teleconference sessions.
The Introduction to Education Law will provide participants with a basic overview of Negligence, Administrative Procedural Fairness, examples of Criminal Law and will facilitate discussion regarding the rudiments of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms within a Canadian Educational Context.
 
This program will be of interest and value to individuals who are in a senior leadership position in a school authority.  We encourage ASBOA members to register in the course with other individuals in their office that may also benefit.
 
Successful completion of the Introduction to Education Law may be used towards the ASBOA Certified School Business Official designation.
 
This course is offered through a combination of face to face sessions and teleconference sessions.  The face to face sessions will be scheduled to be held in Edmonton and Calgary.

March 29, 2019 – 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. – Sheraton Cavalier Hotel, Calgary

Total instruction time is 20 Hrs + research, reading and presentation preparation
