Our Mission
ASBOA is a professional Association dedicated to supporting our members and providing leadership in school business management.
We believe in:
- Establishing and maintaining high standards of efficiency and effectiveness in school business methods and practices
- A standard of conduct of our members that is in accordance with the established code of ethics
- Encouraging research for improving school business management practices and sharing of best practices
We do this by:
- Providing relevant and timely professional learning and training opportunities, resources and peer support, as well as information and guidance to those new to the business of education navigate the system
- Communication the latest information relating to processes, regulations or legislative matters affecting our members and seeking to provide valuable input during the planning stages of school board, government and other stakeholder initiatives
- Encouraging open communication, collaboration and problem-solving between the needs of members, stakeholders, the public and government and those with whom we interact

In accordance with School Business Officials Regulations 37/2004, a register of Certified Members must be maintained. This register will include the name of the Certified Member and the business address of that individual.
